Boy, 17, critical after stabbing in West Norwood

A 17-year-old boy is in a critical condition after being stabbed near a bus garage in south London.

The incident took place at about 13:15 GMT on Ernest Avenue in West Norwood, the Metropolitan Police said.

The stab injuries suffered by the 17-year-old victim are potentially life-threatening, police said. He is being treated in hospital.

A man, believed to be aged in his late teens or early 20s, has been arrested and is in custody.

Ernest Avenue has been closed between Norwood High Street and Thornlaw Road following the incident.
