Luke Harwood death: Sixth person charged in murder inquiry

A sixth person has been charged in connection with the death of a teenager whose body was found in a field.

Luke Harwood, 18, from Havering, east London, was found by police on Monday near Broadmead Playing Fields in Woodford Green, north-east London.

Jovan Roberts, 27, of Romford, east London, was due in magistrates' court earlier accused of murder.

Five people, including four charged with murder, appeared at Redbridge Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Harwood died of severe head injuries.

James Danby, 26, of no fixed address; and Tony O'Toole, 29, Emma Hall, 20, and Kahalid Hassan, 19, all of Crow Lane, Romford, were charged with murder and perverting the course of justice.

A fifth person, Billy Duggan, 20, of Crow Lane, Romford, was charged with perverting the course of justice.

Mr Roberts, also of Crow Lane, was arrested on Thursday and charged with murder the following day.

The suspects are due to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, Scotland Yard said.
