Tube control centre strike called off

A strike by London Underground (LU) staff has been called off.

Workers at a Tube control centre in west London had been due to go on strike from 1 to 4 July in a dispute over jobs and conditions.

But following discussions at the conciliation service Acas the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union and LU have resolved the issues.

The control centre handles Piccadilly, District, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan line trains.
