Memorial plaques stolen from Warlingham cemetery

More than 30 bronze plaques have been taken from a Surrey cemetery in the last week, police said.

Seven plaques were taken from the Greenlawn Memorial Park in Chelsham Road in Warlingham on Thursday.

A further 25 bronze plates were stolen between 19:30 BST on Saturday and 15:30 on Sunday, Surrey Police said.

Det Con Errol Chetty said: "The offenders have deliberately ruined memorials of loved ones for their own profit."
