A woman arrested in connection with the inquiry into the alleged murder of Carole Waugh has been bailed.

The arrested woman, 63, from Chesthunt, Hertfordshire, was held on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud on Monday.

Miss Waugh's body was found in a garage in New Malden, south-west London, on 2 August after the 50-year-old was reported missing in May.

Two men have been charged with her murder. Fifteen people have so far been arrested in connection with her death.

Miss Waugh, originally from Durham, had worked for an oil company in Libya and lived at Tressard Court in Marylebone, central London.

She was reported missing by her family who had last spoken to her on 16 April.

A post-mortem examination found she died from a stab wound.
