The retrial of a man accused of supplying a gun to Mark Duggan will be held in January.

Kevin Hutchinson-Foster, 30, denies supplying Mr Duggan with a gun shortly before he was shot dead by police in Tottenham, north London.

Mr Duggan's death on on 4 August last year sparked riots which swept across the capital and the country.

Last month a jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court failed to reach a verdict in Mr Hutchinson-Foster's case.

Sitting at Snaresbrook Crown Court, Judge David Radford ruled that the retrial will start at the Old Bailey on 7 January.

An eight-week inquest into Mr Duggan's death is scheduled for 28 January.

After a pre-inquest review at North London Coroner's Court last month, Mr Duggan's family said they hoped that the truth would come out about his death.
