Man held over fatal punch attack outside Euston Road pub

A man has been arrested over a fatal "unprovoked attack" outside a pub in central London, police have said.

David Forbes, 42, from Dundee, was approached by a man and punched outside The Rocket pub on Euston Road in the early hours of 25 November.

Mr Forbes fell to the ground, hitting his head on the road. He died from his injuries late on Friday.

The 22-year-old man was arrested at his home in north London on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.

Following the attack the suspect was seen walking away with a group of people towards King's Cross, police said.

Det Ch Insp Andy Chalmers said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this seemingly unprovoked attack or who knows the whereabouts of the suspect.

"I also wish to speak to anyone who may have seen the victim or suspect earlier in the evening."
