Two men have been seriously injured after a man fell from an upper floor of a shopping centre in east London.

Emergency teams were called to Westfield Stratford City shortly after 15:30 GMT to reports that a man had fallen on a pedestrian walking below.

The man who fell had leg and pelvis injuries while the other has head injuries.

They were taken to Royal London Hospital where their condition is described as stable.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said no arrests have been made.

Witness Raju Miah said: "It happened very quickly. We heard screams and saw the commotion below."

Greater Anglia and Transport for London said trains and Tubes are running normally through Stratford.

The shopping centre is open with a small area cordoned off.
