Taser gun used on man with knife near Downing Street
Police have used a Taser stun gun on a man who was carrying a knife near Downing Street in central London.
The Metropolitan Police said the 42-year-old was shouting in Whitehall on Sunday night and did not respond when an officer challenged him.
He was taken to hospital with minor injuries and is now in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of carrying a knife and affray.
Last month police used a stun gun on a man outside Buckingham Palace.
In that incident, a man in his 50s was seen brandishing two knives during the Changing the Guard ceremony.
