A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was shot dead in north London last week.

Samuel Zeria was charged on Wednesday night with killing 34-year-old Zafer Eren who was shot at Fontaine Court, opposite The Meadway in Southgate.

A post-mortem examination at Finchley Mortuary gave cause of death as gunshot wounds to the chest. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.

Mr Zeria is due before Westminster magistrates later.
