A woman who died in a fire at a house in south-east London has been named as Julie Beattie.

The fire at the property on Alosando Drive in Walworth on 19 July badly damaged the ground floor of the building, London Fire Brigade said.

A post-mortem examination gave severe burns as the cause of death for the 24-year-old who lived in the building.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.

One man, aged 26, has been bailed until August, while a second man, in his 40s, was arrested and taken to hospital.

His condition is described as stable, police said.
