A man who admitted killing his partner in south London has been given a life sentence at the Old Bailey.

Anastasia Voykina, 23, a Russian national, was found beaten to death at a flat in James Boswell Close, Streatham, in January this year.

At the Old Bailey in November, Felipe Lopes, 27, admitted manslaughter on grounds of diminished responsibility.

The judge ordered Lopes to serve a minimum term of seven years and three months.

The judge also made a hospital limitation order under Section 45A of the Mental Health Act.

This means Lopes will be detained at a secure hospital for treatment before being transferred to prison to serve the remainder of his sentence.
