Teenagers held over stabbing of boy near Croydon Tesco Express

Two boys have been arrested over the stabbing of a 12-year-old boy outside a south London shop.

The victim was stabbed in the hand and leg outside Tesco Express in Whitehorse Road, Croydon, on Monday.

Police said three youths approached him and went through his pockets before an altercation started and he was stabbed.

The boys, both aged 15, were arrested in Croydon on Thursday on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in police custody.

The 12-year-old boy has since been released from hospital where he was taken after the attack.
