Bulent Sessacar jailed for killing wife in Croydon
A man has been jailed for life for killing his wife by stabbing her 58 times in Croydon in 2012.
Rebecca Sessacar, 25, was stabbed with two kitchen knives in their home in Duppas Hill Terrace.
Police were called to a disturbance at the flat.
Bulent Sessacar, 29, admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility and will serve a minimum of 10 years and eight months, the Old Bailey heard.
Det Ch Insp Russell Taylor said: "This is a tragic incident that has effectively left a young child without both her parents.
"Whilst Sessacar's mental health issues were a factor in the attack, it is right that he should face the consequences."
