Brixton murder investigation after stabbing

A murder investigation has started in south west London after a man died two days after being stabbed.

Dwayne Simpson, 20, from Stockwell was wounded on Tuesday evening in Brixton. He died in hospital on Thursday night.

Paramedics were called to St John's Crescent to treat a man with stab wounds to the chest, police said.

They added it was believed the stabbing took place on Rossiter Grove. Anyone with information is urged to contact them.

The Metropolitan Police said two sixteen-year-old boys had been arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of grievous bodily harm while a third of the same age was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

All were bailed until a date in May.

On Wednesday an 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. She too was bailed until May pending further enquiries.
