Off duty police officer injured in crash

An off duty police officer has suffered a serious head injury when his motorbike was in a collision with a car in south east London.

The crash happened at 12:45 GMT on Great Dover Street, in Southwark.

London Ambulance said a man was treated at the scene for a serious head injury and taken "as a priority" to the Royal London Hospital.

Met Police said his condition is unknown at this stage. The driver of the car was not injured.

Road closures were put in place around Great Dover Street.
