Man charged with firearm possession after Leyton raid

A 50-year-old man has been charged after police seized firearms and ammunition from an address in east London.

Dean Stokes, a gardener from Leyton, has been charged with one count of possession of a pump action rifle and one count of possession of ammunition without a certificate.

He is due to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on 18 April.

The arrest follows a raid in Leyton by the Met Police on Wednesday morning.
