Walworth window-fall man hurt during Met 'arrest inquiry'

A man who fell from a window as police officers carried out an "arrest inquiry" in London is critically ill.

The 34-year-old fell 25ft (7.6m) from the Iliffe Street property in Walworth at about 14:30 BST on Wednesday.

He suffered abdominal and thigh injuries and was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital.

The Met's Directorate of Professional Standards and the Independent Police Complaints Commission are investigating.

Scotland Yard has not revealed what the arrest inquiry regarded.
