Tooting Bec Common baby body: Woman charged with murder

A woman has been charged with murder after the remains of a newborn baby were found in a south London park.

Officers were called to Dr Johnson Avenue, which runs through Tooting Bec Common in Tooting, on 10 September, after two legs were found.

A post-mortem test could not find cause of death or determine the baby's sex.

Elita Amantova, 38, of no fixed address, has been detained under the Mental Health Act and will appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.
