Man held after shots fired into crowd in Tulse Hill

A man has been arrested after three people were injured when shots were fired into a crowd in south London.

The shooting took place after a row between two groups on the Tulse Hill Estate at about 21:00 on Saturday, police said.

The male victims, two aged 19 and one aged 20, suffered gunshot wounds and are in a stable condition in hospital.

A man aged 20 was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody at a south London police station.

'Open mind'

Detectives want to speak to anyone who saw the argument between the two groups, or a car speeding away.

Officers are keeping an "open mind" as to whether the shooting is gang-related.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "It is believed an altercation took place between two groups before shots were fired into a large crowd of people, leaving the three men injured."

Det Insp Danny Gosling said: "When the shooting happened lots of people would have been outside enjoying the good weather and may have witnessed something."
