Residents 'furious' at Bromley rubbish mound

2 July 2014 Last updated at 14:48 BST

Residents living next door to a 20,000 tonne pile of waste said they were furious after a High Court judge threw out the latest legal challenge against the company responsible for it.

People living close to the site in Bromley said they had not been able to open their windows because of the smell, which has been building up over the past three years.

The Environment Agency said it was determined to keep fighting to get it cleared up, but Waste4Fuel said it could not make any improvements without a cash injection.

BBC London's Nick Beake spoke to resident Alan Cowburn.
