Boy, 15, charged over bus stabbing in Sutton

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after a teenager of the same age was stabbed in south London.

Police were called to reports of a boy being stabbed on a 151 bus on St Helier Avenue, Sutton, at 14:35 BST on Friday.

The teenager was also accused of possession of an offensive weapon, Scotland Yard said.

The 15-year-old victim is in hospital where his condition is serious but stable.

The accused boy will appear at at Croydon Youth Court on 11 November.
