A man has been remanded in custody over the murder of a woman who was stabbed to death in a north-west London street.

Alison Morrison, 45, was attacked in Alexandra Avenue, Harrow, at 07:45 GMT on Thursday morning. She died later in hospital. A post-mortem gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.

Trevor Gibbon, 48, from Harrow, appeared before magistrates in Hendon.

He will appear for a bail hearing at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, then a preliminary hearing on 12 January.
