King's Cross flat fire: Further arrests

Two more people have been arrested after the bodies of two men were found following a flat fire in central London.

The blaze broke out on the third floor of Stelfox House in Penton Rise, King's Cross, on Friday evening.

Leandro Da Silva, 47, from Finsbury Park, north London, was found dead with Othamane Majdouline, 51, at his home in Stelfox House.

A 37-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were arrested earlier.

The man has been questioned at a north London police station on suspicion of murder.

The woman, who was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police, has been released.

A 42-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday has been bailed to return to police in late January.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.

Det Con Insp Glen Lloyd appealed to anyone in the area who saw anything unusual early on Friday evening to contact police.

"Two men have died and my team is eager to hear from anyone who was in the area or passing by before or just after this fire started," he said.

Post-mortem examinations began earlier at Whittington Hospital Mortuary.
