Bilal Mirza stabbing: Boy, 16, remanded over death

A 16-year-old boy has been remanded in custody over the murder of a teenager who died after being stabbed in central London.

Bilal Mirza, 18, was attacked in Salisbury Street, Marylebone, at 22:30 GMT on 8 January. He died later in hospital.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court earlier.

His case will be heard at the Old Bailey on 13 January.

He is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place in relation to a multi-tool knife.
