Girl, 17, arrested over Jeremie Malenge fatal stabbing

A 17-year-old girl has been arrested over the fatal stabbing of a teenager in east London.

Officers were called to Homerton High Street at about midnight on 7 January where 17-year-old Jeremie Malenge from Arcola Street, Hackney, was pronounced dead.

Scotland Yard said a 17-year old girl was arrested in Hackney on 8 January.

She was taken to an east London police station where she remains in custody.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

Police are continuing to appeal for information.
