Man dies in Osterley hit-and-run incident

A 31-year-old man died when he was knocked down and killed by a car in a hit-and-run incident in west London.

The man was struck by a blue BMW car, which failed to stop, on the A4 Great West Road at the junction with Wood Lane in Osterley.

London Air Ambulance and police attended the scene just before 05:00 GMT.

No arrests have been made and next-of-kin are being informed. Police are appealing for witnesses.

The road is closed in both directions from Gillette Corner to Thornbury Road, and motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
