Tottenham's Music Now skull cap assault charges dropped

A man who was accused of knocking a skull cap off a man's head in London has had charges against him dropped.

Jaroslaw Kwidzinski, 23, of Ashtead, Surrey, had been charged with racial and religiously-aggravated assault and assault by beating.

Mr Kwidzinski was arrested after a man was attacked and his Jewish kippah - skull cap - knocked off, at Tottenham's Music Now festival on 21 June 2014.

Highbury magistrates dropped all charges against him last Friday.

At the time of the attack, the Metropolitan Police said a group of about 20 people "predominantly male and from the Eastern European community" had disrupted the festival at Markfield Recreation Ground in Tottenham.
