Leyton murder enquiry launched after fatal bar stabbing

A murder investigation has begun following the fatal stabbing of a man in east London.

Police were called to reports a man had been stabbed inside a bar or restaurant in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, at about 21:50 BST.

The man, who was believed to be in his 30s, was declared dead at the scene at 22:38.

A 43-year-old man was arrested in east London earlier on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
