Four charged over Piccadilly armed raid foiled by Flying Squad
Four men have been charged after police intercepted an attempted armed raid at a luxury watch store in central London.
Charlie Kavanagh, 25, of Hedingham Close, Islington was charged with conspiracy to rob and causing serious injury by dangerous driving following the arrests in Piccadilly.
Stephen Hopkins, 29, was charged with conspiracy to rob and malicious wounding.
Four officers were injured in the operation on Wednesday morning.
James Symes, 30, of no fixed address, and Johnny Kyriacou, 25, were both charged with conspiracy to rob.
All four men have been remanded in custody to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Friday.
