Body found at Old Street Tube station
Police are investigating after a body was found in a London Tube station in the early hours of Sunday.
Old Street station near Shoreditch was closed overnight and Northern Line Tube and National Rail services were suspended while detectives investigated.
British Transport Police (BTP) said they were treating the death as unexplained but not suspicious.
Police were called at 01.25 BST to reports of a body being found.
Tube and National Rail services resumed shortly after 13:00 on Sunday.
A statement from BTP said: "We were called to Old Street underground station at 1.27am this morning to reports that the body had been found.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and the station is closed while investigations continue."
BTP added later the death was not being treated as suspicious.
Formal identification is yet to take place but the deceased is believed to be a male. Officers have spoken with the victim's family and they are being supported.
