Two more arrested over man's murder in Manchester

Two men are being questioned over the death of a 36-year-old who was attacked in Manchester at the weekend.

David Mark Pattison, of Ashton-under-Lyne, was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary on Saturday night suffering head injuries but died the next day.

Police believe he had been assaulted on Chester Street at the junction of Cambridge Street just before 2200 BST.

Two men, aged 32 and 38, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Two other people are still being held.

Greater Manchester Police said a warrant for further detention had been granted for a 41-year-old woman and 34-year-old man previously arrested on suspicion of murder.
