Boy who fled secure unit during cycle test arrested
One of the teenage offenders who escaped from a secure unit in Salford while taking a cycling proficiency test has been arrested.
Greater Manchester Police said the 14-year-old was detained on suspicion of of escape from lawful custody in Blackburn.
They rode away from their supervisors outside Barton Moss Secure Unit in Eccles on Wednesday.
The other boy, Sam Thomas, 13, is still on the run.
The boys were on a supervised test when they managed to cycle away from the unit on mountain bikes.
