A six-year-old boy has died in hospital after being in a collision with a 4x4 vehicle while riding his bike in Greater Manchester.

The youngster was riding on Gloucester Crescent in Hindley, near Wigan, on Saturday afternoon when he was involved in a collision with a Ford Maverick.
