Four men charged over Oldham car park gun murder

Four men have been charged with the murder of a man who was shot in the car park of a doctors' surgery in Oldham.

Mohammed Junaid Khan, 21, known as Junaid, was shot several times in Block Lane, Chadderton, in the early hours of 9 July 2009.

The four suspects, who are aged between 22 and 28, are due to appear before Oldham magistrates later.

A 28-year-old man also arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further inquiries.

The four charged are Milad Finn, 22, of Stanley Road, Cheadle Hulme; Kashif Khan, 25, of Worcester Street, Werneth; Liaqet Khan, 28, also of Worcester Street and Syed Naveed Shabir, 27, of Coppice Street, Werneth.

Mr Khan, of Cotton Mill Crescent in Oldham, had been visiting friends when he was shot with an automatic weapon on returning to his car.

He was described by his family as "a much-loved son" who was their "strength and support".
