An 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murdering a care worker in Salford on New Year's Day has been released on police bail.

Adam Steele, 23, from Irlams O' Th' Heights, was found by police when they were called to a fight at the junction of Lancaster Road and Orient Road.

He was taken to hospital but died soon afterwards. A post-mortem examination found he died of stab wounds.

The freed man and another man, 26, have to report to police in February.
