A gallery of the most wanted men and women in Manchester has been released by police in a bid to track them down.

They are all suspected of carrying out a variety of offences across the city, including assault, robbery, theft, fraud, and drug crimes.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the majority of the 36 were wanted on warrant but had so far evaded capture.

All of their images have been uploaded to the force website and police want to hear from anyone who has seen them.

On the run

Their pictures will also feature on billboards and police vans around the city to act as a reassurance to communities that officers are determined to find them.

Ch Insp Dave Gilbride said: "Officers have carried out great work in reducing our outstanding offenders, but there are still people on the run trying to evade justice.

"I would urge anyone who knows that they are wanted to hand themselves in to police immediately.

"Anyone found to be helping those who are wanted could also find themselves in trouble.

"I would also urge the community to work with us and help bring these suspected criminals out of hiding and make our streets safer."
