Drugs with a £1m street value seized in Ramsbottom

Drugs with an estimated street value of £1m have been seized in a village near Bury, Greater Manchester.

Police raided a house on Ashwood Avenue, Ramsbottom, on Wednesday and discovered 34kg of amphetamine.

Two men, aged 33 and 30, and a woman, 27, have been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs and have been bailed.

Det Sgt Kevin O'Regan, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "This is a significant seizure that would have caused misery within the community."
