A fresh appeal is being made for help to trace a mother and her two children a year after they disappeared.

Anisa Ibrahim, 31, from Withington, Manchester, and her children, Khalid, five, and Ahmed, four, have not been seen since April 2010.

Police are concerned for the children, as Khalid has a severe skin condition which requires medical attention.

Officers believe the family took a coach to Amsterdam and may have travelled on to another country.

The family was reported missing on 13 April last year, six days after the children were last seen by their father Abdul Abubakar.

Det Insp Kevin Marriott, based at South Manchester CID, said: "I am appealing to the Somalian community worldwide to come forward with any information on the whereabouts of the children and Anisa.

"This investigation has continued throughout the past year and we will not give up hope of finding Anisa and her children.

"The father of the children is very upset and concerned for his two boys.

"If anyone has seen them or knows where they are, please contact us - any information passed to police can be treated in the strictest of confidence."
