Man charged after mass brawl in Moss Side

A man has been charged following a mass brawl in south Manchester.

Fighting broke out among two groups of Somali youths in Gerry Wheale Square, Moss Side, on 26 April, police said.

A 24-year-old man from Wythenshawe has been charged with violent disorder and a firearms offence. He is due to appear before Manchester magistrates later.

Police believe about 50 people were involved in the fight. On Wednesday, they vowed to trace "every single person involved in the incident".
