Firefighters tackle Mossley moorland blaze

Four fire crews are tackling a grass fire on moorland above Mossley, Tameside in Greater Manchester.

The alert was raised at 1928 BST and crews were sent to the moors above the cricket club in Huddersfield Road near to Buckton Castle.

A Greater Manchester Fire Service spokeswoman said the crews came from Hyde, Mossley and Stalybridge fire stations.

Firefighters are currently damping down at the scene.
