Man held after woman raped in Manchester home
A man has been arrested over the rape of a woman at knifepoint in her north Manchester home.
The woman woke in the bedroom of her home in Crumpsall at 0330 BST on Sunday to find a man standing over her brandishing a knife.
The man, a stranger, raped her and then left the house.
A 23-year-old man was arrested in Crumpsall earlier on suspicion of rape, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed.
He said police had an increased presence in the area and residents had been urged to speak to officers about any concerns they had.
