Bolton death crash pedestrian named as Jack Hindley, 61

A man who was was killed when he was hit by a car in Bolton has been named as Jack Hindley of Bromwich Street, Bolton.

The 61-year-old was struck by a Vauxhall Vectra in Moor Lane at about 2345 BST on Saturday and died shortly afterwards.

Two men, aged 23 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

They have been bailed until 16 June, pending further inquiries.
