Rochdale men face diesel theft charges
Two men have been charged over an alleged scam to steal fuel from petrol stations in Greater Manchester.
Police investigated at least eight reports of a van being driven to petrol stations, people filling up a container inside with diesel, and driving off.
One man, 35, of Rochdale has been charged with five counts of making off without payment.
The other, 24, also of Rochdale, is charged with two counts of making off without payment.
He is also charged with possessing cannabis.
Both are due before Tameside magistrates on Thursday, a police spokesman said.
