Man arrested over rabbit torture in Eccles pub

A man has been arrested over the torture of a rabbit at a pub in Greater Manchester.

The baby rabbit was smashed on a picnic table before being set alight in the beer garden of the Eccles Cross pub in Regent Street, Eccles, on 18 June.

Police said the animal's neck had been broken in the attack.

A 22-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of a public order offence and cruelty to an animal, a police spokesman said.
