Man shot twice in Salford street seriously injured

A 27-year-old man has been seriously injured in a street shooting in Greater Manchester.

Greater Manchester Police said the man was hit twice in the attack on Bolton Road, Salford, at 2205 BST on Saturday.

It is believed that the shooting may be connected to a dispute that took place in the Lord Nelson pub a short time earlier, said a police spokesman.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
