Shots fired at house in Moss Side

Shots have been fired at a house in Manchester, police have said.

The shooting happened at around 0630 BST on Tuesday in the Moss Side area. No-one was injured.

Greater Manchester Police have recovered a bullet casing from the front door of the property on Cadogan Street.

Ch Supt Russ Jackson said the incident was believed to be "a disagreement over a personal matter between two men".

Mr Jackson said that while the incident would cause concern among the community, there was no information suggesting that the shooting was gang-related.

He said: "We are actively seeking the suspect and have already executed one house search looking for him.

"We are working with community leaders and have extra officers in the area to address any concerns residents may have."
