Second man held over Old Trafford florist raid

A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a shop in Greater Manchester where a 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed.

A group of men allegedly tried to raid the florists in Shrewsbury Street, Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Gary Mullings was fatally stabbed. The shopkeeper, 72, has been arrested and bailed over his death. Another man has been charged with robbery.

The latest arrested man, 24, was detained in Stafford, police said.

He is due to be taken to Greater Manchester for questioning by detectives.

Cecil Coley, the shopkeeper, is on bail until 9 September pending further inquiries.
