Three men have been cleared of murdering a man who was shot dead in a doctors' surgery car park in Oldham.

Mohammed Junaid Khan, 21, known as Junaid, was shot several times in Block Lane, Chadderton, in the early hours of 9 July 2009.

Milad Finn, 23, of Cheadle Hulme, Liaqet Khan, 29, and Syed Shabir, 28, both of Werneth, were cleared by a jury at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday.

A fourth man Kashif Khan, 26, of Werneth, was previously cleared.

The judge ordered jurors to acquit him earlier in the trial, a spokeswoman for the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed.

Junaid Khan, of Cotton Mill Crescent in Oldham, had been visiting friends when he was shot with an automatic weapon on returning to his car.

Shortly after his death, he was described by his family as "a much-loved son" who was their "strength and support".
