Three arrests after boy hurt in hit-and-run crash

Three men have been arrested after a hit-and-run crash in Bolton in which a schoolboy was injured.

The 14-year-old was knocked down by a stolen car on Thicketford Brow just before 16:00 BST on Thursday.

The car was found abandoned nearby on Longsight Lane a short time later and had been set alight.

Two 20-year-old men and a 24-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and fail-to-stop road traffic accident offences.

The boy is being treated in hospital for an injury to his knee and cuts and bruises.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
